Center Drills

HHIP center drills are a two-fluted tool consisting of a twist drill with a 60ÃÂ° countersink. They are used to perform a drill amp; countersink operation in one pass. Designed to drill amp; countersink center holes in a workpiece to be mounted between centers for turning or grinding. The pilot drill creates a small hole in the stock amp; the countersink expands the hole, leaving a small gap at the bottom of the hole to help protect lathe centers from damage when the stock is turned on it.
