A: You can test by marking the egg with a pencil and periodically checking to see if the marked side has moved. It's a slow process.

"p" A: Yes, it is built-in a humidity and there is a LED screen for watching the humidity. You should manually adjust the humidity and add or remove water as needed. It stays pretty consistent. You could give it a passing look each day to check the temp and put in water if needed to keep the humidity around 55%. That will vary by location and weather.

"p" "u"Q: The incubator is not holding a consistent temp. How to do that?

"p" A: 1. The factory temperature setting is about 38C/100.4F(this degree is

"p" suggested for the chicken eggs, if any other kinds of eggs, you need to adjust by the suggested temp.)

"p" 2. For the "inaccurate" reading of the temp, After some time, the sensors of other thermometer might start to give false reading by a degree or two which can affect hatch rates if not caught. This isn't exclusively a Magicfly issue, it also happened to other incubator and other thermometer.

We suggest you could use more than one thermometer/humidity sensors to work with if needed.

3. Recommended setting note: The temperature of house-used thermometer may vary from our egg incubator, when the ambient temperature is less than 25℃(77℉)， it is better to take measures for heat preservation. It’s good for temperature uniformity when the device is enclosed with clothes or other warms, and it also helps energy-saving and reduces heat dissipation.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1.The initial setup of this egg incubator is factory settings. The temperature is pre-set 100.04℉ and hatch days is 21 days for chicken eggs. If you are going to hatch chicken eggs, then you don't need to adjust anything. Just press "MENU" once and the incubator will start to work. (For the first time after plugging the incubator into power, it takes 1 HOUR for the incubator to reach the proper temperature. During this time, there will be no alarm sound. Please be patient and wait.)

"p" 2.For other types of eggs, please adjust the settings IN ORDER according to our user manual.

"p" Long press "MENU" for 4 seconds to enter the setting mode. When you see the LED screen flash, you can start to set REMAINING HATCH DAYS first, then TEMPERATURE and at last HUMIDITY. For each settings, you need to long press "MENU" for 4 seconds to enter the setting mode. But if you only need to set one thing, just press "MENU" once and the incubator will start to work.

"p" 3.As for HUMIDITY setting, you can customize the HUMIDITY RANGE of the first incubation period and the second incubation period (move to hatching tray day)."1L" means the minimum humidity% for the first incubation period. "1H" means the maximum humidity% for the first incubation period. "2L" means the minimum humidity% for the second incubation period. "2H" means the maximum humidity% for the second incubation period.

"p" 4.Pay attention to the room temperature to ensure that it remains stable between 74℉-80℉（23℃-26℃）, and it doesn't drop below 72℉ at night. If the room temperature is higher than 86℉/30℃, it may cause the heating wire not working properly and hard to cool down.

5.Press "+" and "-" at the same time for 4 seconds to RETURN to factory settings for incubate chicken eggs. (It also takes 1 HOUR for the incubator to reach the proper temperature.)
