Pearl once again redefines the electronic percussion experience by introducing the revolutionary mallet STATION Adjustable Range Electronic Mallet Controller. Designed in partnership with Keith McMillan Instruments, the mallet STATION brings next-generation technology to the 21st century mallet percussionist. The mallet STATION model EM1 is a full sized 3.0 octave adjustable range electronic mallet controller designed for all players in any genre, from the beginning student through the gigging professional. The adjustable low note range function allows you to set the fundamental diatonic note of the instrument to what you need-low D xylophone? No problem! The mallet STATION is powered exclusively by Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, and Android devices through USB Bus Power, allowing performance almost anywhere with minimal set-up and equipment. Designed in collaboration with Keith McMillan Instruments, mallet Station's tech-forward design features KMIâs Smart Fabric Sensor technology allowing the silicone bar material to have an extremely sensitive, natural response, including mallet dampening and after touch control, and all can be easily tailored to your individual playing style.
Stands and Mounts sold separately
Pearl partnered with Keith McMillen Instruments (KMI) to bring the malletSTATION to life using their Smart Fabric technology. This allows the silicon bar material to have an extremely sensitive, natural response. In addition, the Smart Fabric Sensors enable mallet dampening and aftertouch control, which can be easily tailored to your individual playing style. The soft silicone keys make quiet practice easy by reducing contact noise with the instrument.

Fixed Function Low Note Adjustment amp; Octave Shift, plus 3 Faders and 4 Buttons assignable via the software editor. Select presets, start amp; stop playback, even control live looping- all customizable to your needs.
Gap Caps provide visual cues when the low note is adjusted. Simply press the button to select your low note, adjust the Gap Caps accordingly, and voila! Youâre playing in a new range.
3 MIDI assignable ¼â pedal inputs allow for flexibility in performance such as sustain, expression, or any MIDI parameter of your choice. USB MIDI ensures universal communication, and a port for the optional KMI MIDI Expander (sold separately) adds connectivity to external devices using 5-pin MIDI.
Put the malletSTATION on a desktop, X-Stand, or optional dual Module Mounts (sold separately). The optional Module Mounts allow the malletSTATION to easily mount on racks, stands, and field frames.
Designed with a hybrid aluminum and steel chassis, the EM1 malletSTATION is durable and stable despite having a slim 1.6" profile and weighing only 16.25lbs! The soft silicone keys create an all-weather playing surface making the instrument perfect for marching bands and other outdoor performances. With the use of Module Mounts (sold separately) the malletSTATION can even be mounted on a keyboard instrument, such as the vibraphone shown to the right.
Since the EM1 malletSTATION has no on-board sounds, you are free to use whatever software and sound source you choose. Perform live with Apple's MainStage, launch clips and control loops in Ableton Live, even plug into your iPad or tablet and control GarageBand or other music apps. If you don't already have a preferred DAW, don't worry- the malletSTATION comes bundled with Presonus' StudioOne 4 Artist. All you need is a computer and some headphones and you're on your way to making music with malletSTATION.
